FreedomOps — Terms of Service

Because FreedomOps handles financial account data, credit information, and military pay records, a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction must review and customize this document before you accept real users.

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and myFreedomOps LLC governing your access to and use of the FreedomOps web, iOS, and Android applications, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate. The Service is intended for users located in the United States. You are responsible for compliance with local laws.

3. Description of the Service

FreedomOps is a personal financial operations platform that helps users track accounts, transactions, budgets, debt, credit, savings goals, and (for eligible users) military pay and benefits. You enter your own figures, or import them from a file; the Service does not connect to financial institutions. It generates analyses and reports from what you provide.

The Service is an informational and organizational tool only. It is not a bank, lender, broker-dealer, investment adviser, tax adviser, credit-repair organization, or financial planner. See Section 11 (Financial Disclaimer) and the separate Financial & AI Disclaimer document.

4. Accounts and Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials, enabling multi-factor authentication when offered, and all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at admin@myfreedomops.com of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are compromised or used in violation of these Terms.

5. Connecting Financial Accounts

The Service does not connect to your bank, card issuer, or any other financial institution. There is no account-linking feature and no aggregation provider. You enter account balances, debts, and transactions yourself, or import them from a file you upload, and the accuracy of that information is your responsibility. We will never ask for your online banking credentials. If account linking is added in future, these Terms will be updated before that feature is enabled.

6. User Content and Data

You retain ownership of data you submit ("User Content"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display User Content solely to operate and improve the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the accuracy of data you enter manually.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) use the Service for unlawful purposes; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or data; (c) reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service; (d) upload malware or interfere with security features; (e) misrepresent your identity or authority; or (f) use the Service to provide financial advice to third parties without authorization. We may investigate and take action, including suspension, for violations.

8. Subscriptions, Fees, and Billing

The Service is currently free and we do not collect payment. There are no paid plans, and no billing or payment information is requested or stored. If paid features are introduced, pricing, billing cycles, renewal and refund terms will be disclosed before purchase and these Terms will be updated first. We may change pricing on prospective notice. App-store purchases are also governed by the applicable app-store terms.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers for cloud hosting, AI features, and transactional email. Your use of those features may be subject to the third parties' terms. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services.

10. AI-Generated Content

The Service includes AI-generated analyses, recommendations, and reports ("AI Output"). AI Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation. AI Output is informational only and is not financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. You are solely responsible for decisions you make. See the Financial & AI Disclaimer.

11. Financial Disclaimer

FreedomOps does not provide personalized financial, investment, tax, legal, or credit-repair advice. Budgets, debt payoff plans (snowball/avalanche), credit-score simulations, retirement and TSP estimates, BAH/LES calculations, and similar outputs are estimates based on the data and assumptions available and may differ from actual results. Consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions. We are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the U.S. Department of Defense or any government agency.

12. Intellectual Property

The Service, including software, design, trademarks, and content (excluding User Content), is owned by myFreedomOps LLC or its licensors and protected by law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes consistent with these Terms.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for any violation of these Terms or as required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Sections that by their nature survive (including 6, 11, 12, 14–18) survive termination.

14. Disclaimers of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT FINANCIAL DATA WILL BE COMPLETE OR ACCURATE.

15. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, myFreedomOps LLC AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless myFreedomOps LLC from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

17. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alaska, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. [Insert arbitration / class-action-waiver / venue clauses ONLY after attorney review, as enforceability varies by jurisdiction and consumer-protection laws may apply.]

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

19. Miscellaneous

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Disclaimer constitute the entire agreement. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale.
